This family home in Naarden, The Netherlands, was renovated and extended in its area. Constructional elements consisting of accoya wood create an optical division of space. These wooden elements start inside the house and continue on the outside along the porch, creating a strong connection between the house and the garden. The first constructional element is placed between the dining area and living room and contains a built-in fireplace. The second element starts in the kitchen above the elongated kitchen island. The kitchen island has navy blue cupboard doors and a clean white counter top. Four white ceiling lights placed in a linear position above the kitchen island emphasize the elongated shape of the island. Hanging lamps and recessed and ceiling lamps by 9010 are perfect for the environment: clear, minimal, design lines with a high-output beautiful lighting. Chosen materials and colours reflect the family’s enthusiasm for nautical life.
