CHIA Flagship Store

CHIA is a wavy, futuristic, green-coloured store located in the heart of Byron Bay, giving the word green a whole new meaning. Their mission? Making sustainable habits accessible to inspire people to move from awareness to action and say goodbye to fast-fashion. CHIA’s store is all about following trends in sustainability, as Project Manager Marco Caldarola says: "Throughout the entire design process of the store, we have been pursuing the idea of “organic and handmade”. This idea is a reflection of the brand mission and has been considered in all the parts of the fit out. When I thought about lighting, I was surrendering to the fact that we would have to use standard lights, losing those values we work hard to achieve, until I found 9010novantadieci®. Their lights not only embody the beautiful Italian craftsmanship and careful manufacturing process, but they also respect the project's intent of using natural materials. The pendant lamps and the ceiling can lights add the special look I’ve been chasing for this project. The CRISTALY® finish of these lights works perfectly in sync with the natural rendering of the hempcrete furniture and the magnesia cement benchtops, giving consistency and beautiful subtle lighting to the space."
