72 with Terrace

On the top floor of a building overlooking the hill of Fiesole, we renovated a 60s apartment with a large terrace, starting from a general condition of advanced degradation. The project involved the profound modification of the interior spaces to eliminate the large amount of existing distribution space, typical of the apartments of the time, rethinking spaces and distribution, finding new locations in the living area and adding an additional bathroom.

We also completely rethought the relationship between the interior spaces of the apartment and the outdoor terrace and completely redesigned the terrace itself, dividing and hierarchizing the various areas and introducing elements of protection from the sun and storage spaces for furniture, previously absent. The project involved numerous structural consolidation works of walls and floors, and a set of works for energy efficiency, including internal thermal coats, the complete replacement of fixtures, the installation of a heat pump for air conditioning and production of acs, as well as sound insulation works towards the neighboring apartments.
